Linphone is an open source SIP phone for voice/video calls and instant messaging, and is available for mobile and desktop environments.

Many new features are still under development on a medium- or long-term basis. Please feel free to contact us if you want to know more about our development roadmap, or if you are interested in financing the development of a particular feature.

HD video calls with video preview

Advanced Push Notifications

Since Linphone supports push notifications from Apple and Google, you will be notified of incoming calls and text messages even if the Linphone app is inactive or not in the foreground.

• Answer or decline incoming calls directly from the lock screen
• Reply to or mark as read incoming messages without opening the app
• Use the double call screen between a Linphone call and a GSM call

Smart contact list

• Linphone’s address book comprises a smart contact list that clearly indicates which of your friends can be contacted via the app.

• Linphone synchronises with your smartphone’s address book and automatically tags contacts who have a SIP account with a Linphone icon. You can also filter your contacts to display only Linphone users.

• The “Link your account” function allows you to link an existing account with a phone number, for better identification of Linphone users. The list is updated as new users register with the service.

Dark mode
